Window painting Strijp-S EINDHOVEN | Illustrada x Playgrounds 2026
For Playgrounds in Eindhoven, I was asked to create a window painting around the theme Celebrating Creativity. My canvas was the window front of lunchroom Anne & Max, located at Strijp-S.
The design is inspired by Eindhoven’s nickname, Lichtstad — the City of Light. I turned this idea into a playful scene of celebrating lamps: dancing lights coming together in their own little party. I always like to add a slightly surreal twist to my work, so the lamps almost become characters themselves. A playful nod to Eindhoven, creativity and, of course, light.
The cosy, domestic lamps are also a subtle reference to the warm, living-room atmosphere of Anne & Max.
